Associate Priest - St David Eastwood, St Mary the Virgin Benfleet & St Margaret of Antioch Leigh-on-Sea
About the role
Three parishes in the Hadleigh Deanery (Southend Archdeaconry) under the pastoral and sacramental oversight of the Bishop of Richborough are seeking a traditional catholic priest with ambition for the Gospel and a heart for pastoral and sacramental ministry alongside exploring a model of collaborative collegial ministry across the three parishes.
The post is designated as an associate priest, but we seek someone who is capable of incumbent-level ministry, who will have particular oversight for St Mary Benfleet and St David Eastwood while working with the priest-in-charge across all three parishes.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person both to have a truly catholic ministry of word, sacrament, and mission as the cure of souls, and to work strategically to reimagine how we sustain mission and ministry in the Richborough Family of parishes in this archdeaconry.
Further particulars contact the PA to the Archdeacon of Southend - Laura Dolton ldolton@chelmsford.anglican.org
For an informal conversation, please reach out to Fr David Wylie, the Priest-in-Charge, the Bishop of Richborough’s Chaplain, or the Archdeacon of Southend.
Closing date: 29th October 12pm
